Would certain medications cause hair loss?

I've been on prescription medications since July, after having open heart surgery, with 5 bypasses. In the last 2 months I've noticed that my hair is getting thinner and falling out worse than ever. Does anyone know of certain medications that would cause this to happen?Would certain medications cause hair loss?
Yes. Read the inserts that come with the meds, and if you're in the hospital and they didn't give them to you, then ask to see them or have the doc spell out the side effects to you. It's likely that at least one of the meds has the side effect of hair loss. If the meds aren't at fault, then you may have a vitamin deficiency, so you still need to check with your doc.
