Wondering what the disease it. The treatment for it is an injection on the head every three months. Anyone got any idea what it is?What is the disease/virus that causes intense hair loss?

God all these idiots who feel it necessary to open their pie holes when they have no idea what they are talking about. It's these morons who make Yahoo Answers so gay.

All these morons aside, it sounds like you are talking about ';Alopecia Universalis'; and the treatment is a steroid injection- though there are other drugs such as TNF inhibitors which also can help alleviate the condition some.

Unlike other forms of alopecia, this one affects all hair on the head, even body and facial hair. It's generally caused by an autoimmune reaction to one's own hair (thus the reason immune suppressants like Etanercept and steroid injections can help).

Thank you in advance for your best answer vote, and I now unfortunately must return you to the teaming sea of morons at Yahoo Answers.
could be an auto-immune disorder
alopecia, or lupus
She most likely has alopecia, and it is an autoimmune disorder, not a virus. Go here:
