I'm seeing a therapist for depression/attention deficit problems and am prescribed lexapro and vyvanse. can this doctor also prescribe other drugs like propecia for hair loss or do I need to see someone else? She is an M.D and board certified in adult, child, and adolescent psychiatry. Can a psychiatrist prescribe hair loss medication?
Don't even bother reading the other replies, they're just spamming to promote some scam sites.

I will also promote a site (about hair loss), but only because I used these techniques on myself and they worked!

ANyway your pshychiatrist CAN'T prescribe other kind of drugs, and definitely SHOULD NOT (remember that).

Also if he/she was a good therapist, she wouldn't need to prescribe medications, keep this in mind please.

I had psychological problems in the past and I went to a BRILLIANT therapist who told me that 95% of psychological issues (even bipolarism) are curable or enormously containable just by teaching (properly, of course) the patient how to manage the issue.

I resolved my problems and I am know ten times psychologically stronger, so I suggest you to look for a therapist that doesn't prescribe medications, because I know how dangerous they can be.

Anyway, getting back to hairloss:

I used to assume propecia and rogaine, and the results were not that not good.

Also they started having bad side effects, and that's why I stopped using them.

I searched for a natural 'cure' but nothing really worked, until I found an amazing technique that they teach in http://www.nohairloss.org ebook.

You can download a couple of free chapters from their site, and the full book has even nine free videos that teach you exactly what the technique is.

This is not a scam, I've used the technique to halt my hair loss and I'm still using it to regrow some hair.

It's a thing that will stick with you forever, too, and it will keep your hair 'in shape' for the rest of your life.

Most important of all, though, is how this technique helped me with my depression related to hair loss: I don't think about it all the time anymore, and I'm happier by consequence.

Thank you for reading this, and I really suggest the book to anyone (men and women) who are facing hair loss.

All the best with your therapy, too (and I really hope you can manage to find a way 'out' without using those horrible medications).

All the best,

I also used to suffer from hair loss and depression (that's a killer combination) so I actually can tell I really don't think more drugs are what you need.

There are many effective natural treatments for hair loss, which you can get without any prescription.

I really hope that you will consider this option before turning to more aggressive treatments, It worked for me. I ordered a free trial of the organic hair loss package and I can honestly say that I believe natural products are better.

You can see what I ordered if you'd like here (it's how I got the discount) - http://best-cosmetic-surgeries.com/stop-/a>
