Mine started at the fourth month.
I've had it for a month and it's not showing any sign of stopping.
How was your experience and what did you do about it?When did you start having post-natal hair loss and how long did it last?
I think about 4 months and it lasted for about a month. It was a little upsetting to find so much hair in the shower and around the pillows, but I console myself that it is the hair that I would have lost naturally during pregnancy that now have finally shed, so I am not too concerned - that's what I have read anyway - one of the reasons why pregnant women look so radiant! When did you start having post-natal hair loss and how long did it last?
At 4 months and i thought i was going bald! my brush was just full of hair, i have long curly hair and now at the sides it's noticeably short when i tie it up as it sticks out! didn't do anything about it as there is nothing you can do. shocking when it happened tho. It lasted about a month.
About 3 months postpartum.. and it's still going 3 1/2 months later! It drives me nuts.. I see hair everywhere, I vacuum every single day and sometimes it gets in my son's hands. I have heard it continues until about 8 months portpartum.. I am sure everyone is different though. It seems like mine is letting up slightly. I use a brush in the shower and try to get out most of it in there so I can toss it afterwards and not have it all over the bathroom after I dry my hair. That's about all the advice I have. Good Luck. ;-)
Hi
my hair loss started almost immediately after I gave birth. It lasted 5 months, it was ridiculous the amount of hair that came off!
before i got pregnant with my boys i hardly lost any, then when i got pregnant it just started like mildly falling out lol then after having them it just kept coming out and my youngest is 4 yrs.old now and i lose a lot of hair daily,my hair comes out by the hand full and it is really thick and curly so it's not fun losing it.......
Mine started at three months and lasted about three months. I was one of the unlucky 30% who lose about 40% of their hair. I had lovely thick shoulder length hair and ended up having it lopped off really, really short. BIG MISTAKE! I didn't take quite such drastic action with my second child but did suffer hair loss again. But rest assured, it does all go back to normal in the end ;-)
Mine started at 3 months but I have really thick hair and my hair would fall out a lot before I got pregnant...But now that my daughter is 5 months it has started to slow down a little bit
Hi there,
My hair didnt start falling out about 5 months after the baby was born and it lasted about 2 months.
A friend of mine recently had the same complaint but her hair started falling out as soon as the baby was born.
So i think when and for how long can vary.
My hair is still thinner 16 months on. I seem to have receeded slightly, but maybe stress causes it.
Try taking some skin, hair n nail supplements, drink lots of water %26amp; a healthy diet. Also talk to your hairdresser about a style to suit you until it stops.
mine started after my daughter was born. It was really bad and showed no signs of stopping. I started to take some vitamins and it helped a lot. The baby was taking all the vitamins you were putting in yourself when you were pregnant and now your body is letting you know that you need more.
after i stopped breast feeding it lasted for about three months until my periods settled down.
Mine started at about 4 months and lasted for about 6 weeks. Obviously my hair still falls out, but only as much as it did before I was pregnant.
Now, 6 months on, I have 1.5 inch tufts of hair at the side from where my hair fell out and is growing back and it always looks really frizzy where I have short hairs sticking up around my parting. Not a great look!
You will get over it soon even hair fall depends on each individual's health condition and it varies. Massage aloe Vera gel over the scalp, leave it for about one hour. After this rinse the hair with warm water. It gives excellent results for hair loss if one uses this massage at least 3-4 times a week. mines been falling out since birth pretty much and it hasnt stopped 5 months later!! Ahhh i cant stand it!
Mine started after a month or so and continued for around 5 more at least, gross!! I have curly hair, so I can only brush it in the shower. It was hard for me. If you can brush yours, just do it more often so you hopefully shed less while walking around!! It's just a part of being a mommy and it'll stop eventually. :)
