What vitamins and supplements will help with hair loss?

My hair has been falling out for the past month in clumps. i can pull out a ton everyday. I have an eating disorder but am not ready to recover, but this is really starting to embarras me!!

I heard fish oil helps but I don't know, any advice would be appreciated, thanks!!

:)What vitamins and supplements will help with hair loss?
Zinc, iron, B vitamins, essential fatty acids, amino acids and other nutrients are responsible for hair growth. If these deficiencies occur ,for whatever reason, hair loss is likely. These deficiencies can result from many of the problems notably poor diet. What vitamins and supplements will help with hair loss?
anyway hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few. but anyway you can always try and get real results.

year ago I suffered from hair loss too and I started trying everything you can imagine to stop my hair loss.

the things that really worked for me was:

1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

5) also you should use some herbal treatment.in that case Provillus is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!

It worked and still works for me!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry Provillus but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.provillus.com/?aid=749165

good luck!

not only my and my husband`s own personal experience
Spirulina and chlorella are excellent natural source (not synthetic) supplements that are loaded with many valuable nutrients necessary for healthy hair growth and overall health. They contain plenty of high quality protein, iron and many other vitamins and minerals. They can help provide nourishment for those on extreme calorie restricted diets. It sounds like you are getting ready to recover! Good Luck.
Dihydrotestostrone (DHT) is a hormonal byproduct of testosterone that has been shown to shorten the growth phase of hair by retarding follicle growth. While DHT is essential for early development, it can attach to hair follicles as men get older, which causes the follicle to get smaller and smaller, and the hairs to get thinner鈥攅ventually falling out. The result is fewer visible hairs, and if left untreated, can result in male pattern hair loss (Androgenetic Alopecia). Inhibiting DHT formation can help prevent early thinning and hair loss.
Nothing will work until you resolve your eating disorder. You are causing incredible harm to yourself by doing this and you need to get help.

Don't mean to harp, but jesus! You're losing your hair and THIS doesn't get you to change your ways? What will??
I recommend using this product called Provillus its the best thing ever.

Will anything bad happen if i use hair loss cream on my genitals?

I have some cream at home (nair) it sais not to use on genitals but i was wondering if thats just because it will burn. I dont classify burning as a bad symptom... if not are there creams out there that will remove the hair with complications? {haha} sorry but plucking/ waxing just seems like too much pain hehe. Will anything bad happen if i use hair loss cream on my genitals?
It's not bad to use hair loss cream. But, I prefer you use waxing. Waxing is painful at first but, your hair won't grow for at least 2 months. This will really make your life easy. Will anything bad happen if i use hair loss cream on my genitals?
I have used it down there before even though they said not too. I'm stubborn lol.

It didn't really have an effect.

It just made my skin smell really bad.

I shave. It's easier and quicker.

It can give a shaving burn though and it takes a long time to get it right...

Maybe you could just put a little bit on and then see if you react?

There's ones from nair you can get for your bikini lines so I'm guessing it would be safe.

If it's the extra strength one do NOT use it down there.

I got all red and itchy. It doesn't seem bad but my God, it is.

I was in pain for weeks and the redness didn't go away for months!

Then when the hair grew back it was all ingrown and such.

Not worth it.

Good luck with it anyway.
why don't you simply cut them with scissors?

How Can I Stop Hair Loss & Re-Grow Hair In The Front And Crown Areas?

I've been losing hair at the front (forehead area), on top and in the (back) crown area. I didn't notice it at first, but some of my ';good'; friends started making jokes about it. They noticed it before I did. Is there really anything out there that can help without surgery? How Can I Stop Hair Loss %26amp; Re-Grow Hair In The Front And Crown Areas?

not only my and my husband`s own personal experienceHow Can I Stop Hair Loss %26amp; Re-Grow Hair In The Front And Crown Areas?
Currently, if you want to regrow hair, topical minoxidil is the only approved way to go. As Washenik explains, no one is quite certain how minoxidil, an oral medication originally approved to treat high blood pressure, works to grow hair.

To be effective, minoxidil must be used twice a day. It works better on those who are younger and whose hair loss is recent, according to clinical studies by Pharmacia%26amp; Upjohn.

Those studies show that 26 percent of men between 18 and 49 reported moderate to dense hair regrowth after four months of Rogaine treatment. An additional 33 percent had minimal hair regrowth. Almost 20 percent of women between 18 and 45 had moderate regrowth, while an additional 40 percent showed minimal regrowth.
Hi Gary,

I can understand that hair loss is a huge problem. A big factor in the demise of your hair is blood supply. Each and every hair follicle has a tiny blood vessel that gives life to the hair shaft itself. If this supply is taken away, the hair shaft dies. If the same thing happens in your heart, you get a heart attack! Yes it's serious, but losing hairs won't kill you. However, it can have a dramatic impact on your quality of life, that's for sure. Millions of people suffer from hair loss in the USA and worldwide, and this is sad, because I know that it is reversible!

Enter remedies that increase the blood supply to your head. I'll outline three of my favorite, but there are many more. They really are simple.

These methods are much more safe than Prescription Drugs.

1)Massage your head. Massaging your head increases the blood supply to your head. This stimulates the hair follicles so that dying ones are rejuvenated and dead ones are resurrected! It also relieves stress. Stress itself can cause hair loss.

2)Take Ginseng. Ginseng is a herb that has been used for many years and by different cultures for various reasons. The three most common types of Ginseng are Chinese or Korean Ginseng, Siberian Ginseng and American Ginseng. It probably works by having a direct stimulating effect on blood circulation to the hair. This herb seems to stimulate more than just your hair; taking too much can make you sleepless! It also boosts the immune system and alleviates stress. Some Ginseng preparations can be applied direct to your head, others you can eat or drink (e.g. Ginseng Tea).

3)Take Antioxidants. These are Nature's weapons against oxidants. Oxidants are highly dangerous particles that react with and destroy normal tissue in your body, and this includes hair follicles. They can destroy blood vessels, and can cause damage to almost every structure in the hair follicle. Antioxidants include commonly available vitamins such as vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E. Minerals like Selenium are also antioxidants. The best way to acquire these is through a good diet, but supplements can help a lot.

I hope these are useful to you and hope you can regain your confidence again! Cheers

Mooooo..... 2 points.

Hi there ! How are you today?

There are a lot of products of treatments for hair loss some very effective, some not. I recommend to you a natural cure, it is called Provillus and it really works fast.

To prevent hair loss from occurring Provillus, an all natural supplement has a positive outcome. Provillus is a supplement built to block the DHT(Dihydrotestoterone) in the body. Provillus contains compound ingredients such as, biotin, gotu kola, magnesium stearatern Muria Puania, pumpkin extract, Saw Palmetto, silicon dioxide, vitamin B6, and zinc. These compound ingredients help prevent thinning hair follicles form becoming thinner-leading to baldness. The nourishing blend of nutrients in Provillus helps the hair become thick.

Provillus hair loss treatment is FDA-approved. No prescription is needed because it is stored as a supplement; therefore, it can be bought from over-the-counter from a local drug store.Provillus was created by the Ultra Herbal Company. It is a natural treatment for men and women suffering from hair loss, also known as Androgenetic alopecia. With men hair loss is caused by hormone testosterone. When DHT(Dihydrotestoterone) enters the body the hair follicles thins and cuts off the blood flow in the body. The more DHT in the body the more the man is at risk of experiencing baldness.

In the United Stated two out of eight women experience hair loss. There is no pattern for hair loss in women. Few women experience hair loss at a young age, but it mostly occurs in older women. Unbalanced hormones, thyroid disease, and menopause are common risk factors of hair loss in women. Child birth is also a common risk factor for hair loss in women. However, hair loss in women is far more harder to deal with than for men experiencing hair loss.

An effective cure for men and women who experience hair loss is Provillus. Not only will Provillus prevent hair loss from happening-it will also regrow the hair. With only being on the market for less than five years,

Provillus has been rated the number #1 treatment for hair loss prevention. The topical ingredients in Provillus are FDA-approved and guaranteed to get hair back to being strong and healthy. No side effects have been reported from users of Provillus. Before using Provillus you should read the information provided carefully. You should also consult a doctor if any problems occur after usage.

How can i get my hair back after a bad hair loss?

I lost 1/2 of my hair because if stress. How can I get them back? How can i get my hair back after a bad hair loss?
The best way to find the best products for your hair is to try them all. That would be pretty expensive but go over to a friends house and use some of her stuff. See how it works, and just keep trying new things. Hair may work with products from this company and not that company....it's all trial and error.

If I can suggest something, I would suggest you try a hot oil treatment....for a cheaper way to have great soft and silky hair with less frizzies, warm up some olive oil (regular cooking stuff) in the microwave and massage it into your hair while it is dry. Wrap it up in a warm towel from the drier and sit for an hour or so. Maybe give yourself a facial at the same time. Then get in the shower, and shampoo out all the oil (because water won't get the oil out--oil and water don't mix) and then condition your hair. Viola! Beautiful silky hair.

The most key thing to protecting your locks is to stay away from all heat. Yep, that means no hairdrier, no straightner, no curling iron either....It's very hard not to advert to these products but just try it for a week. Don't blow dry your hair for a week....try it. I know it's hard not to but if you stay away from things with heat such as blow driers, curling irons, straightners, etc....you will notice a HUGE change in the feel and look of your hair. It will be so much more healthy. How can i get my hair back after a bad hair loss?

Drink 10-12 glasses of water daily and have a high protein diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables and dairy products. Since iron-deficiency anemia can also cause hair loss, make sure that you eat a well-balanced diet that includes a daily serving or two of iron-rich foods. Check out

Are there any women who are married to men with hair loss?

I know a lot of women are turn off by men with receding hairlines and they wouldn't date them, which is petty. Everything is petty to me

I'm a young man who's been experiencing hair loss (thinning on the top) since high school. Every time I shave, it immediately comes back.

Are there any women who are married to men with receding hairlines? Are women that obsessed with men's hair, as well as their entire physical appearance? Are there any women who are married to men with hair loss?
I think someone that gives up a guy because of their hairline is ridiculous..because it could be hereditary for all we know..but my husband is bald. completely. and I have no problem with that, because I love him despite the fact that he's a baldy (:Are there any women who are married to men with hair loss?
When I was dating not too long ago baldness didn't matter to me. I was attracted to personality and a good sense of humor. Many different women and men for that matter find different characteristics sexy. Believe it or not many men prefer voluptuous women because thin women don't do anything for them. Many women find bald men attractive as well. What man do nowadays is shave their entire head because it's in style now. If she's worth your time, she won't care.
I sympathize with you because some women don't want to deal with men who have thinning hair or who have HHV (hair has vanished!). But there are also women who does not give a hoot about bald men for as long as they are clean, attractive and what have you. So, it really depends on the person. For example, my husband is now almost bald but I do love him as Elizabeth Browning would affirm in her ';Sonnets to the Portuguese';. So, it is no big problem. Try to meet girls who does not mind baldness, but in fact relate baldness to sexiness. Now, that would be a blast for you and for her. Good luck to you.

    Merry Christmas.
My boyfriend is in his early thirties and, like most other guys his age, is starting to recede at the forehead. He was when I met him and I never gave one eight of a damn about it.

People who care about small details like that - things about yourself you have no control over - are shallow, unrealistic and missing out on a lot of good things in life. You don't want to know the people who care about thinning hair or a few inches too short or some acne, because they suck.
Generally immature women only go for looks. Once you've spent enough of your time trying to find a gorgeous guy, you find out that they think they are more gorgeous than you do. It gets old quick. You get a little older, you get a little wiser. Hair loss happens. Big deal. If you like yourself and show it, others will too. If you make comments about your hairline or are embarrassed by it, others will notice it more. I think men are sexy when they are confident. When they are funny. When they have nice smiles. When they show vulnerability. So many different things. Never once did their hair affect me, unless it was someone with hairloss and the godawful comb over. Be happy with who you are.
I'm currently in love with somebody who is balding. One tends to see pass all that when one's truly in love. It's funny because I grew up in a family of men who bald early and didn't want to go for someone who was also bald in fear of poor genes, but when you're in love you don't care about things like this. Love's blind.
My husband has massively thick hair, definitely not thinning, but I would not rule out attraction to someone based solely on thinning hair. I have seen bald men who I found attractive. It's not about hair.

If you are insecure about your hair, that lack of confidence would do more to make you unattractive than the actual thinning hair would.
The love of my life has thinning hair and shaves his head. He thought it would bother me when we recently reunited after many years. He kept mentioning what great hair he had years ago. For me, it didn't matter at all. There are lots of great guys out there who shave their heads and are very sexy.
There are quite a few of us out there. Maybe men with hair loss are attracted to being PE teachers, but my husband and many of his PE friends are balding...and yes most shave their heads unless they get lazy. They all have great wives ;).

Perhaps there is something more to this than your hair....
Look at it as a way to weed out the girls who aren't worth the trouble. It shouldn't be that big of a deal to the right girl. Personality is so much more important.

  • Any advice on how to reverse hair loss with pcos?

For the past year my hair has been getting thinner and thinner due to pcos. Does anyone know a good way to stop this?Any advice on how to reverse hair loss with pcos?
I know this is kinda long but it is good advice on hair loss with PCOS

Around 15% of American women are suffering from female pattern baldness caused by androgenic alopecia. For a female, losing hair can be a much more devastating process than it is for a male. Women are very much judged on their personal appearance, and thinning hair may seem like a de-beautification process. Self-esteem is thus impacted and confidence levels dwindle. In women who are suffering from polycystic ovarian syndrome, it is thought that the excessively high levels of male hormone and its byproduct, dihydrotestosterone, are primarily responsible for follicle fallout. This is problematic in menopausal women, as well.

In polycystic ovarian syndrome, hair is thinned just like it is when a male loses his hair. The difference between the two is that when the hair begins to stop presenting new growth, the follicles continue to remain alive. Traditionally, this process kills off the follicle root completely. This means that hair growth and PCOS hair loss treatment is still a very real possibility since hair death has not occurred.

Hormonal fluctuations of the male hormone testosterone seem to be the main cause of hair thinning in women. Women shed hair during menopause, birth control use, post menopausal conditions, and after a recent pregnancy. Estrogen fluctuations are different and are not as directly involved with thinning hair.

Polycystic ovarian syndrome also is commonly paired with hypothyroidism. This malfunction of the thyroid can contribute to weight gain and continued hair problems. This triggers a woman's confidence in her appearance to drop even lower. There are ways to combat this transformation and regain hair. PCOS hair loss treatments begin with modifying your diet. Consuming better foods rich in iron, magnesium, and other minerals will begin you on your journey to a full head of hair. If you are unable to consume a healthier diet that aids your body nutritionally, add a multivitamin supplement to your diet.

Cease smoking, if applicable. Women with polycystic ovarian syndrome can build up certain cigarette smoke chemicals, which in turn can wreak havoc on one's hairline. This will also assist oxygen flow though the veins and improve health overall.

Supplements are a highly recommended PCOS hair loss treatment option. B vitamins are strongly suggested. The male hair restoration drug Propecia is FDA approved for growing hair in men only. Studies have shown, however, that the supplement saw palmetto is just as efficient in growing hair in women. This supplement also combats hirsutism, which is where a female has facial hair that grows in thick and coarse. Provillius is a supplement that utilizes saw palmetto and other essential vitamins to restore hair growth. This may be a more favorable option over having to consume multiple tablets and capsules on a regular basis.

If you which to counter the problem with medication, the only FDA approved PCOS hair loss treatment for women is Rogaine. This topical approach to hair loss in women with polycystic ovarian syndrome has shown improvement in up to 30% of women. It is recommended that you only use the 2% concentration, not the 5%. This is a good way to restore hair, but it will cease growth once treatment is stopped. It is an expensive road to choose, but within six months you will see results.

A women's last PCOS hair loss treatment option is to undergo a hair transplant. This is where your own hair is moved from an area where thinning is not occurring, usually at the base of the neck and scalp, and placed where hair recession is prominent. This is an expensive procedure, but it is permanent. This process usually takes one to two years to complete.

There are many very simple way to combat a hair thinning problem with a PCOS hair loss treatment option. It is a matter of pooling your hair restoration knowledge and changing your lifestyle to one that support a beautiful head of hair.Any advice on how to reverse hair loss with pcos?
I agree with Alex. If you cut down on your carbohydrates and eat alot of fruit and keep your stress as low as possible it should help. I would also talk to your doctor about your hormones and the hair loss. Usually hair thinning is either due to hormons, stress, diet or just plain genetics. It is obviously due to you pcos so I would try going on a medication that can help with you hormones. Hipe this helps.
I'm a PCOS'er too and finally, I seem to have turned a corner and the thinning hair seems to be growing back.

I found a better diet - eating all the things you should be eating such as oily fish, veg, fruit worked plus various suppliments, Vit A, B6 and B12 plus Fish Oils worked for me.
    hiya hun

I know the feeling! There is nothing in particular that will bring your hair back but just eat a healthy diet plenty of vitamins and nutrients and try getting some vitamin supplements for hair skin and nails.

I have the same problem so I hope this helps :) x

I've read many online testimonies that head and shoulders is related with hair loss, is it true?

I did a yahoo search on HnS trying to look into their new product for hair endurance ( it is supposed to promote hair growth). Instead I found forums and testimonies from HnS customers claiming that previous HnS products have caused them to go bald. If hair loss wasn't a problem why are they suddenly promoting this new hair endurance product. Is their any truth to HnS causing baldness?I've read many online testimonies that head and shoulders is related with hair loss, is it true?
I agree, personally i find HnS has a lllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooootttttttof chemicals !! It sure makes my hair fall, maybe not to the extent of balding me, but makes my hair wayyyyy thinner *I've read many online testimonies that head and shoulders is related with hair loss, is it true?
If someone is losing thier hair of course they are going to look for just about anything to blame especially in the US sue happy country. Also online testimonials arent worth much considering you will always have someone complain about something.

How long does it take for hair loss to stop once re-starting birth control pills?

My Dr. recently diagnosed my hair thinning as loss of hormones following endometrial ablation. I have just started taking Necon 1/50 (birth control pills containing 1 mg of norenthidrone and 50 mcg of mestranol). I was curious as to approximately what the time line is for when I will stop seeing so much hair falling out.

I have regrowth. I also started using women's Rogaine and

taking hair, skin and nail vitamins for about 2 weeks now.

The hair loss has been going on for approximately 2 months. I am 40 years old.How long does it take for hair loss to stop once re-starting birth control pills?
It might be due to hormonal levels in your system, but sometimes hair loss is due to stress. Try giving it a month, if you see no changes try a product called Nioxin. It has several different levels, and they all work better than Rogain. I provided you a link to their web site - my hair dresser recommend this for me when I was under stress, as the Dr's. were not able to give me concrete answers. My nephew is now currently using the product as well, with great results after about 30 days.

My wife was on Necon for 3 months and she had the same problems. It appears that this is a fairly common problem.

Her hair continued falling out for 6 months, but got less and less. She consulted these guys called the Hair Loss Specialists:

Does using conditioner too often cause hair loss?

I know the frequent use of shampoo will cause hair loss but this brought the question of what about conditioning? Does using conditioner once (or 2-3 times a week) a day also cause hair loss? Please do not state your opinions (not to be harsh %26gt;.%26lt;) but rather facts. Thanks!Does using conditioner too often cause hair loss?
Hey! Im not an expert or have too much knowledge on hair loss but there is this one site that everyone is talking about. My cousin told me about this site also and he was loosing hair....real bad!

So check it out...its worth a shot!Does using conditioner too often cause hair loss?
This isn't an opinion...but conditioner makes your hair shiny. I don't know what kind of hair you have but when I only use shampoo it makes my hair dry! If it doesn't to you then you got some great hair. But it's okay to use conditioner but not a lot. So says my hair dresser.
last year my sister's hair fell out a little bit, like when she was in the shower and lying in bed.

not alot, i mean it wasn't horrible like it all fell out at the same time.

But maybe when she brushed her hair, alot of hair came out onto the brush. More than usual.

Well, she went to a salon, and they said it was because of the condition of her hair, and Shampoo that she is using.

They said that it's recommended that she take a shower/bath once every other day, and wash hair only once every other day. But they also recommended a olive oil leave in conditioner she could use on the day's she doesn't take a shower. Olive oil helps heal hair, if you have any damage as well, and helps strengthen your hair folicles.

the end results were great, her hair hasn't fell out since then.

Do all those hair loss products being advertised actually work?

not necessarily. before you spend money on something go to your doctor and theyll prescribe something or recommend something that really works

Is coconut oil good for PREVENTING hair loss?

I want to know if Coconut oil can prevent hair loss in men. I have thick jet black hair and i am 21 and i want to keep it.Is coconut oil good for PREVENTING hair loss?
I am 21 too. I use coconut oil on my hair all the time. It prevents hair loss for men, women, basically everyone. I have thick off-black hair, and I use organic oils all the time.

I recommend that you use the following oils to condition your hair: extra virgin olive oil, jojoba oil, tea tree, and coconut oil.

Use the following product line to enhance your hair growth: Parnevu or Barber Select (Parnevu is the better option).

If you want to try a product line that is all natural, try Carol's Daughter (yes, men can use these products).

    www.parnevu.com

www.google.com (barber select products)Is coconut oil good for PREVENTING hair loss?
Coconut oil is good for replenishing hair and keeping hair healthy.

Olive oil is for nourishing damaged hair and giving it that silkiness.

Go to your nearest health store and ask for 'Bhrindraj oil'- that's for growing new hair- without all the harsh chemicals. It's aryuvedic and organic, it stimulates blood circulation within the head area. And it worked for my 50 year old mum.

    Good Luck. =)
There are many reasons for hair loss. In cities its thanx to pollution and stress. Try using coconut oil 2-3 times a week and wash it off with a good shampoo. Also use anti-dandruff shampoo once a week. Though hair loss can also be inherited if anyone in the family faces the same problem like your father, grandfather, etc.
Use of coconut oil is really very good for Hair. But it invites many environmental dust to stick with it, which is harmful for the life of the hairs from the roots. So use coconut oil at night and wash your head next day with ';head %26amp; shoulders'; and apply Garnier Fructis Conditioner. You can feel the betterment within 2 weeks.
ya its a best for your hair.

but Please use some of olive oil and coconut oil.

Please don't use Pantene Shampoo for Your hair.

Only use herbal Shampoo for your hair always.

    thanks.

    Folic Acid

Folic Acid is the number one most important vitamin for hair loss prevention. It has long been hailed as a vital part of women's health, especially for pregnant women, but few people realize that it can also play a big role in keeping your hair on top of your head where it belongs. Taking folic acid vitamins for hair loss prevention can not only greatly decrease your chances of experiencing hair loss to begin with, as well as help to prevent future hair loss. Folic acid can be found in many foods, including nuts and soybeans; or can be bought in over the counter supplements.

    Vitamin A

The second of the important vitamins for hair loss prevention is vitamin A. Vitamin A plays a vital role in maintaining healthy hair, skin, and vision. But it also plays an important part in preventing hair loss by promoting healthy cell growth around hair follicles, keeping them from becoming dry and brittle. Vitamin A can be found in many foods but is most prominent in fruits and vegetables. To get a healthy amount of A vitamins for hair loss prevention, you should make certain that you eat plenty of carrots, tomatoes, peppers and salads as well as eggs and organ meats like liver.

    Vitamin E

Also included in the vitamins for hair loss prevention is vitamin E. Vitamin E can be found in leafy green vegetables, such as lettuce and spinach as well as in nuts and whole grains. Vitamin E is essential for promoting healthy blood flow, which in turn helps to ensure that the scalp has adequate blood circulation as well.
Vitamin E is know to help with hair loss or hair health. You can find it in may forms and presentations. Taking an vitamin supplement is also good not only for Hair bot for so many other reasons. How can I prevent baldness and hair loss for later in half?

Also, I'm trying to help my older friend out here...

If a guy is about 47, and has been balding for like, 20 years, is there ANYTHING that will get him back a full head of hair? How can I prevent baldness and hair loss for later in half?
Your ';friend'; should have been taking preventative measures for the past 20 years. Like Rogaine or Nioxin. I guess it's never late to start, but he has to be very dedicated and committed to doing it every day.

Your ';friend'; should get into a regime that includes, shampoo, conditioner and scalp treatments for thinning hair. Visit the websites below for more detailed info. How can I prevent baldness and hair loss for later in half?
i also recommend Nioxin. the system has been proven to work. it is a scalp cleanser, so it removes any buildup on the scalp and anything that could be clogging his hair follicles and preventing hair growth. then there is a scalp therapy, which feeds the follicles, a follicle booster, a daily vitamin, and many other steps to the system that may help your friend. obviously its not this way for everyone, but i have seen women with thinning hair use it, and you can see new hair growth after a few months! not a ton always, but you can see something. it also has been known to make hair feel thicker. its worth a try and its safe! only buy it at salons though!! i bought this for my husband, and he is only 22 haha, but if you start early, you have a better chance. hope this helps! :)

Hi , What's the best shower filter to combat hair loss?

I live in Boston and suffer from servious hairfall.I visited the Dermatologist and got a thryroid and a iron binding test done. The tests are all normal. I dont seem to understand what else could be the problem. It all started this August and i havent done anything different to instigate it. I would like to try a shower filter and see if that works.. pls help and also suggest remedies for hair loss..taHi , What's the best shower filter to combat hair loss?
could be stress, using too many heating products on your hair, maybe you need to change your shampoo. try infusiumHi , What's the best shower filter to combat hair loss?
what on earth does a shower filter have to do with hair loss? could it just be natural hair loss, genetics, or you've been wearing a ball cap too long? i'm pretty sure it doesn't have anything to do with how the water falls on your head or how much rust is in the water. if that was the case, i would be bald right now....
To some this may sound silly, but to me it makes sense. Water %26amp; chemicals can affect your hair so I have been told, I bought a filter for my shower off of the web. Sorry I can't remember what the site was. But if you search for shower head filters you will get some idea's. It did not stop my hair from falling out but it did help the condition. I am loosing my hair too but I am a woman and it is a big problem finding out anything except what I said in my group explanation. Try some of the online sites for hair loss. Forget Nioxin it will do nothing. You need something that blocks the hair loss I think its DHT if you go online you can read everything about this and I think its true for guys. I have tons of books on the subject searching for an intelligent answer other than its hereditary or old age!!!!
Quick... get your hands on NIOXIN system it comes for chemically or non-chemically treated hair. They have advance formulas for advance hair loss. Also there might be a huge possibility that is genetic. It might be in your family pedigree somewhere down the tree. You may e-mail me directly if you need further info.

I got my min pin about 3 weeks ago.She had some hair loss on her head and it is just getting worse. What next?

I got her from a shelter. She was a stray. She is 8-10 weeks old. Doesn't scratch her head at all. I dont want her to be bald and the rate it is going she will be,but the rest of her body has great hair no loss.I got my min pin about 3 weeks ago.She had some hair loss on her head and it is just getting worse. What next?
have a vet check for lice?

what food is the dog on??

    allergies can cause this...

eliminate Beef, Pork, SOy, Wheat, and Corn from the diet..

ALL foods from grocery or Wal Mart are crap...I got my min pin about 3 weeks ago.She had some hair loss on her head and it is just getting worse. What next?
Have you checked with your vet? It might be that she is shedding her puppy coat and looks sparce on top or she could be responding to the change in food or the quality of the food. Feed her a good quality food (slowly change though if you aren't feeding good quality). If there appear to be sores or something like that, you might want to get her into the vet soon, but sometimes poor nutrition combined with puppy coat loss gives them a sparce coat. Make sure she is clean and parasite free or it will just get worse as well.

Congratulations on the new pup... but they let you have her too young ... puppies need to be with their littermates until after their eight weeks old or they don't learn proper canine social/language skills... I don't know why people keep doing this and then wondering why dogs grow up to be problematic with other dogs...
Take her to the Vet right now, befor it passes on to any other animals or birds you have in the house,

Or take her back to the shelter and let them check it out at the Vets for them to pay, the law doesnt allow them to let a pet go thats not vet checked first good luck
Could be mange, ringworm, or a skin infection, take her back to have them do a skin scraping. if that's negative do a fungal test.
yes it could be mange or pests but my dog went through hair loss because of his diet. switch to a higher quality dog food. mine are on royal canin.
