oooo

i had this problem in 6th grade.

but i was actually diagnosed with alepecia areata [sp?]

and yeah. it totally sucked.

i had to go to lots of dermatologists and stuff..quite scary at the time.....and they told me to drink lots of green tea and any kind of vitamin that's good for the immune system..

i did that and tried to relax [stress plays a huge part]

now, i'm in 8th grade, and have a full head of hair!! thank god!

hope i helped! and good luck!Ok, anyone...do you know a good vitamin for hair loss?
Hey! here are some tips! i hope that i help you a bit because my mom had the same problem!

* Make a drink by blending bananas, honey, yogurt and low fat milk. This drink is rich in biotin and will help your hair to have strong roots.

* Ensure your diet is rich in Vitamin B6, zinc and saw palmetto. Use supplements if you cannot get enough from natural food sources.

* Bend your head while you are shampooing and massage your scalp. This will increase blood circulation to the scalp.

* Get rid of stress and this is most dangerous for your lovely hair.

* Get sufficient sleep. Like a healthy body, healthy hair too needs a good night's sleep.

I hoped i helped! AND good luck! I also hope you see less hair in the shower :)

make sure you eat a healthy diet and get plenty of excersize, your hair will love it. i also found a website that sells a natural shampoo specifically designed for hair loss and other scalp related problems. www.elantree.com you might want to check it out. you could also try taking MSM. it is a natural plant product that comes in pill form or a powder. it's help regulate my hair growth. hope this helped some!
u need to see a doctor....do you have a history of hair loss in your family....have you had health problems....do you keep ur hair up a lot?....when i do that it happens to me....u need to stop stress-in..get out....has it just started recently...loosing more? is t ur boyfriend...or the obsession over finding it everywhere? u gotta figure it out...

  • Vitamins for hair loss?

My friend is worried about hair loss lately. She's on medications for her thyroid, which might be a partial culprit, but I think she needs better nutrition. I know B vitamins are good for hair loss. Anything else? I was thinking prenatal vitamins, too. My hair was super thick when I was on those!Vitamins for hair loss?
There are two reason for hair loss if she is hypothyroid: 1) being on the lousy T4-only meds like Synthroid, Leovyxl, Levothyroxine, which leave nearly everyone with lingering hypo symptoms, including hair loss 2) having low storage iron, aka low ferritin, which is common with patients on the lousy T4-only meds and causes hair loss.

Read this about why T4 doesn't work and can cause hair loss: http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/t4-/a>

    And this about low ferritin:http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/fer/a>

And she should read the entire Stop the Thyroid Madness website, a thyroid patient advocacy website by Thyroid Patient Activist Janie Bowthorpe. Janie also wrote the book by the same name, and readers report liking it even more than the website, since it's easier to refer to, and has even more info.

Vitamins shouldn't take together / Vitamins for hair loss and PCSO?

I have recently been diagnosed with PCSO and am awaiting my Dr's appointment to discuss this. I have had a lot of hair loss over the past 7 months and also not had a period for 7 months. Incidentally this is when I stopped taking the pill. I think I have probably been self-treating for many years with the pill. I looked on various sites and have decided to try and get myself better. I have brought some shampoo which apparently helps with hair loss I have also brought:

Iron 15mg, Ginkgo Biloba 30mg and Vitamin C %26amp; Zinc vitamins. Does anybody know if these should not be taken together? Also do you think these are the right things to take?Vitamins shouldn't take together / Vitamins for hair loss and PCSO?
Bad news there are neither any shampoos that help hair loss, nor any useful supplements that do either.Vitamins shouldn't take together / Vitamins for hair loss and PCSO?
As far as I'm aware the only medically proven treatment for hair loss is Regaine solution. I don't know of a shampoo that has been shown to work?

The vitamins will not re-grow your hair, but they won't hurt you either. Your GP should test for anaemia and he may prescribe you iron tablets in a higher dose than 15mg. Wait until you see the GP before you spend a lot on vitamins.

Ask the GP about Regaine - see if he advises it. You can buy it from the pharmacy for about £25 a months supply.
Here a few simple home remedies which can be tried at home to control hair fall.

1.Rinse your hair with a mix of apple cider vinegar and sage tea this helps hair grow..

    2. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair.

    3. Massage with olive oil before going to bed at night and next morning, wash off the hair gently..

    4. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea.Massage well and shampoo.

    5. Beat two eggs, and add two tablespoons of water to it. Rinse hair and pour the egg mixture over the hair.Massage the scalp well and leave for 10 minutes. Then wash it.
Presumably you mean Polycystic Ovary Syndrome [PCOS].

Firstly yes scalp hair loss can be a symptom of that, often accompanied by hirsutism or unwanted hair on parts of the body where it is not wanted. Insulin resistance oftens goes hand in hand with PCOS so your doctor will no doubt want to check for any signs [running a blood and urine analysis] of diabetes. And your thyroid function should also be looked at....especially in view of the hair loss and PCOS.

I would not take iron unless you have been told you are anaemic. Unless you are vegetarian you probably get ample iron...and even for vegetarians who eat breakfast cereals and eggs they are also getting plenty of iron....and unless anaemic or have a medical condition that requires them to take more iron there is no need to supplement with it. In fact it can be harmful to do so. There is such a thing as having too much iron.....it is in fact toxic to the body if you have too much in the form of inorganic iron such as from pills and other supplemental forms.

Drink spearmint tea as Turkish studies have shown that this can help reduce hirsutism. Therefore it might help with any testosterone excess and if that should be linked to hair loss/hirsutism, which are often some of the clinical outward signs of PCOS, then that could help. You need to ideally drink at least 2 mugs a day and leave to stew for at least 3 minutes.

You might be a candidate for taking a pill called Dianette if there are no health contra-indications otherwise. Discuss that option with your doctor. Do some research on that first for PCOS. Alternatively there is a herb called Agnus castus that you could try.....you might like to do some research on that. ....however neither can be taken if pregnant or nursing!! Be sure you are not pregant first. However, if you were trying to conceive then Agnus castus may help.....but Dianette should not be taken if trying to conceive....it is a form of BCP and it might affect male development [being potently anti-testosterone].

If your diet is otherwise health you shouldn't really need to take any supplements to support hair growth. But you could consider a formula that is geared for healthy hair, skin and nails. Health shops usually sell something along these lines. Eat a couple of eggs a day .....sulphur containing amino acids in eggs help hair growth ....and eat pumpkin seeds as a source of zinc. I would not take a zinc supplement long term unless you are going to supplement with copper ....which should ideally be taken 2 hours away from zinc. Taking one without the other can lead to a deficiency of the other with long term use of only either. Cucumbers and bell peppers are also good for the hair....being rich in silica.

Massaging your scalp with pumpkin seed oil and leaving that on for a while prior to washing might help. It helps with DHT inhibition.... so if your hair loss is akin to male pattern baldness in any way it might help as DHT of the scalp is implicated.

    Best wishes.

    Folic Acid

Folic Acid is the number one most important vitamin for hair loss prevention. It has long been hailed as a vital part of women's health, especially for pregnant women, but few people realize that it can also play a big role in keeping your hair on top of your head where it belongs. Taking folic acid vitamins for hair loss prevention can not only greatly decrease your chances of experiencing hair loss to begin with, as well as help to prevent future hair loss. Folic acid can be found in many foods, including nuts and soybeans; or can be bought in over the counter supplements.

    Vitamin A

The second of the important vitamins for hair loss prevention is vitamin A. Vitamin A plays a vital role in maintaining healthy hair, skin, and vision. But it also plays an important part in preventing hair loss by promoting healthy cell growth around hair follicles, keeping them from becoming dry and brittle. Vitamin A can be found in many foods but is most prominent in fruits and vegetables. To get a healthy amount of A vitamins for hair loss prevention, you should make certain that you eat plenty of carrots, tomatoes, peppers and salads as well as eggs and organ meats like liver.

    Vitamin E

Also included in the vitamins for hair loss prevention is vitamin E. Vitamin E can be found in leafy green vegetables, such as lettuce and spinach as well as in nuts and whole grains. Vitamin E is essential for promoting healthy blood flow, which in turn helps to ensure that the scalp has adequate blood circulation as well.
Vitamin E is know to help with hair loss or hair health. You can find it in may forms and presentations. Taking an vitamin supplement is also good not only for Hair bot for so many other reasons. Take a look at below site, they offer a wide variety of good products and in many cases, free trials or free product.
My dad takes vitamin E for hair loss. It sort of stopped it, but didn't really reverse it. However, he did use this stuff called Provillus and it really brought back his hair. Maybe try giving it a shot.

since like 4 years ago iv been noticing that i keep on loosing alot of hair. My hair is very thin and i could see bald spots if i dont fix it. Im looking for a vitamin that is very good for hair, that would reduce hair loss and grow hair faster. Im 18 years old male. --thanks--What are good vitamins for hair loss?
Joe,first off eat as healthy as you can because nutrition plays a huge role in our hair, you can take some Biotin vitamins, these help in aiding the hair.I also like to take Omega fish oil capsules and a good vitamin B complex as well.Hope this will help you out,Tomb Raider. What are good vitamins for hair loss?
Have you tried Rogain? My roommate had thinning hair, she started using Rogain about 3 months to start working, but its gotten better. Not sure what vitamins you would need, maybe a protein drink, isn't hair mostly protein?
Vitamins have nothing to do with hair loss. Shave it down and stop being a girl. I can't wait til I start going bald.....one less thing to worry about. Now if you are losing hair due to a dfisease or nutritional deficiency that's another matter entirely. You certainly want to address the situation simply because it may effect your health in other ways that actually matter. But if you are just naturally going bald early then just embrace it. It worked for Captain Picard.

Vitamins for hair loss appropriate for 14 year old's?

My little sister is having some trouble with hair loss and my mom and I are starting to get worried. She's been losing hair where her bangs are and it seems like it thinning. She has dandruff but she uses shampoo for it, and from what I hear she says it helps the itch and it's not noticeable that she has dandruff. She used a full set of healthy hair and now it seems as if all that is thinning. Does anyone know of any vitamins for hair loss that would be appropriate for her age and he scalp condition.Vitamins for hair loss appropriate for 14 year old's?
Its really sounds like something a doctor should look at because if she's losing hair at age 14 something must be going on...i would most likely guess that it's her hormones. Since she's in her early teens, this is when her hormones are going to go crazy. Like a pregnant woman, after she has given birth, her hormones will change, and it always affects their skin, hair, and nails. The best choice would be these vitamins http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?pro/a> OR http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?pro/a> these are all natural and appropriate for her age, loaded with vitamins A,B,C,E, and Amino Acids that will help her hair, nails, and skin become much healthier, it WILL NOT make her hair thicker or grow faster, there is NOTHING like that on the market right now. You can purchase them either online, GNC stores (if u have them), or any drug store. Also i'm wondering what kind of dandruff shampoo she is using??? if she is experiencing itchiness, flakes, dryness, and redness, this would be dandruff, my best recommendation is Redken scalp relief shampoo (guaranteed only when bought at a salon or salon beauty supply) http://www.redken.com/assets/files/0000//a> have her massage into scalp and leave on for 5 minutes then rinse, and it can be used daily. It will leave her scalp relieved, clarified, and hydrated (much MUCH! better choice than head and shoulders or selsun dandruff shampoo). Even so, i still think she should see either a doctor or endocrinologist if it's her hormones acting up. Good luck! %26lt;3Vitamins for hair loss appropriate for 14 year old's?
Take biotin to keep hair from falling out. This can be found in nutritional supplements or you can get it from eggs, whole grains, milk and rice. Protecting against hair loss will allow it to grow longer.

Use B vitamins. Vitamins B3, B5, B6 and B12 are all useful for keeping hair healthy. B3 helps the circulation of blood in the scalp and keeps nutrients flowing easily to the hair. The standard dose is 15 mg per day. B5, taken at about 4 mg per day, helps promote stronger hair. B6, taken at 1.6 mg per day, has a similar effect as B5. B12, taken at 2 mg per day, is useful for keeping hair from falling out and increasing its strength.

Has she seen a doctor? visible thinning hair on a 14 year old doesn't sound normal, or healthy, maybe she should go to the doc and be checked out. She might have an underlying health problem. Shes prolly due for a checkup anyway.

Ok ..so i have a big hair loss problem and i'm trying to fix it until is not too late.I heard that some vitamins for hair loss may help..I need one good product or one who now what to do !

My hair is falling a lot, and I don't know what to use, please help me.Hair loss vitamins ? What are the best vitamins for hair loss prevention?
You need to use a hair treatment like provillus. It has all the vitamins your hair needs and much more.I've used it and I had very good results.Provillus contains the only FDA-approved topical ingredient clinically proven to re grow hair.

If you are looking for something which can aid you with your hair loss problem, then Provillus may offer one of the best choices of remedy. Hair loss can be a cause of various factors such as stress, frequent use of shampoos and conditioners containing a lot of chemicals and others.

Provillus offers the best possible and perennial solution for this problem for both men and women. One of the best parts of the provillus treatment is that it uses natural ingredients. This has accounted for its rising popularity. Thus it leaves the other products behind in this context, since most of the products contain harmful chemicals.

Provillus basically functions by removing the main cause of hair loss i.e. DHT. DHT damages the hair follicles and is responsible for the thinning of hair. It also restricts the re-growth of new hair. Provillus prevents its formation and it also promotes the growth of the new hair.

You might be wondering whether what makes its treatment effective and popular. Well the natural ingredients which it uses work on your scalp and thus provide the best solution without any side effects. Thus it has a higher rating over other such products available in the market.

Well you might be aware that it is available for both men and women. The saw palmetto extract is basically present in the men's version whereas a combination of acids is present in the female version. Thus in addition to the solution of problem of hair loss it also nourishes hair.

Till now Provillus has been getting positive feedbacks so you needn't worry and instead be assured. It offers the its users complete satisfaction.Check the source link below for a free trial and more info about provillus ..Hair loss vitamins ? What are the best vitamins for hair loss prevention?
I speak to people everyday about their hair loss issues and they tell me what hair loss products work and which ones don't.

But first...Here is a complete list of hair loss vitamins and minerals and how you can get them by eating naturally.

If your like most trying eat right is very hard so the solution is a hair loss vitamin supplement that you take twice a day. There are a few different brands and of course everyone says that they have the best hair loss product, but the real truth is that not anyone hair loss product will work for everyone so always start with a proven product that has lots of positive reviews and clinical studies to back them up.

The top leading hair loss solutions right now that gets the most positive responses is Provillus, Advecia.

The hair loss product with the best clinical studies for success is Hair Genesis by far.

Your best chance at success is with these products, they will certainly help you.
Well vitamins do help, but this all depends if lack of the proper vitamins is what the problem is or if it's actually something else. You see proper dieting is not just what you have to worry about. There are many reasons why people lose hair ( just like gaining weight) like stress, lack of sleep and many other reasons. What i did for my hair loss problem is just go to the experts for help, and now i got enough hair on my head making me look like i'm 18 again. A friend of mine was the one that told me about this product it's called PROVILLUS I tried it and it works like a charm and they're FDA approved. Check them out it might work for you. Remember one thing proper dieting alone is not enough. Copy the link below and check them out, they'll give you more info than i can.
Hair loss is affected by your lifestyle here are some tips on how to stop the hair loss:

    1. First and foremost, take care of your body with good diet and exercise. These things affect hair health and can slow down the loss of your hair.

    2. Find ways to reduce stress and anxiety. Exercise, Yoga, meditation, etc. are good activities for this.

    3. Take care how you treat your hair. Do not pull at it, comb or brush it harshly, or use harsh shampoos. Reduce use of colorants and other harsh chemicals. Try to manipulate your hair as little as possible. Reduce the use of blow dryers and curling irons.

    4. Investigate and experiment with the wide variety of products available to reduce hair loss. The earlier in life you begin this investigation and experimentation, the better your results will be. Products like Provillus, for example, should be used with the first signs of more than normal hair loss.

    5. Try natural remedies, such as Saw Palmetto(primarily for men), essential oils and herb solutions. These are available at health/nutrition retailers or on many Internet sites.
Vitamins B, C, F, zinc, iron, copper and protein are essential for hair growth. Drinking plenty of water and eating plenty of raw fruits and vegetables is probably the best way to achieving healthy hair. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairfall.blogspot.com/ for more info.

    Has anyone tried this program???

    Pleas let me know!

Thanks! What are the best vitamins for hair loss prevention?
yes! this web page stoplosinghairnau totally SUCKS! it is SCAM! never ever buy this product because you will lose all your hair!

hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few. but anyway you can always try and get real results.

year ago I suffered from hair loss and since hair loss is hereditary my dad suffered from it too and I started trying everything you can imagine to stop my hair loss. the things that really worked for me was:

    1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

    2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

    3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

    4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

    5) also you should use some herbal treatment.in that case Provillus is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!

It worked and still works for me!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry Provillus but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.provillus.com/?aid=749165

good luck! What are the best vitamins for hair loss prevention?
99% of the time when people think that their hair is falling out it is actually breaking off from damage. Look at about 9 hairs. If there is a white bulb on the end of the hair shaft then they have fallen. Take a regular multivitamin daily and eat a healthy, protein-rich(protein is the key since hair is protein) diet. No prenatal vitamins, they can do serious damage to your organs, cause arthritis, and even kill you. If there are no bulbs then the hair is breaking. Blow drying removes 90% of hair's moisture, leaving it dry and brittle. Straightening removes the last bit. Use a thermal styling spray and wash your hair in cool water.
Hi there I know a website you can go to it was recommended by a friend who also had hair loss problems he said this product worked the best for him because he has tried all other products before, hope this helps you and good luck with your problem.
saw palmetto, vitamin B6, and biotin are probably the 3 most effective things that promote hair growth. there's this product out there that I know of that works pretty good too. if you want more info let me know.

What is the best hair products, shampoos, and Vitamins for hair loss?

My hair is falling a lot, and I don't know what to use, please help me.What is the best hair products, shampoos, and Vitamins for hair loss?

Food rich in vitamin A, B, C, E, K, magnesium and zinc are important for healthy hair and also prevents hair loss. Hair is made up mostly of protein so a protein rich food is also recommended. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

What is the best hair products, shampoos, and Vitamins for hair loss?
It is normal to lose a certain number of hairs daily. If you are losing so much hair that your hair is getting thinner, probably you should see a dermatologist. Although there are a few conditions that can result in hair loss (like certain prescription drugs, malnutrition, or excessively tight braids), hair loss is mostly genetic. Vitamins and topically-applied products are a waste of money for hair loss. If you are so malnourished that you are losing your hair, you need to fix your diet, not take vitamins.
don't use petroleum based or mineral oil based hair products because they make your hair fall out. buy an intense moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, perhaps pantene pro-v for relaxed and natural hair.

And you should try Motions haircare products and Dr.Miracles.

Also massaging your scalp helps your hair grow and limit use of heat on hair cause it causes breakage. And don't use ponytails with metal on them because they tear your hair. Sleep with a satin pillow case because cotton ones suck the oil out of your hair and makes your hair dry.

    Hope i helped:)

This in not easy to solve question, which product is best for you it depends upon your hair condition.

Our scalp has some 100,000 hair, of which 80,000 are in the growing phase, while 20,000 inactive hair can be said to have gone in the sleeping phase. It is normal to lose roughly a 100 hair every day. Such a loss will not affect the total number of hair.

So a little hair falling is routine matter and not be stress due to this.

    FALLING HAIR -

Does your hair fall a lot? Don't worry, you're not alone. Millions of people from all around the world suffer from dry, brittle and weak hair. Some of the possible reasons for falling hair are:

    Tension

    Too much work

    Illness

    Poor diet

    Over-exposure to the sun

    Perming

    Amateur bleaching

Too frequent and inexpert use of tints, rinses or other colourants

Here is what you can do to prevent hair fall

Shampoo regularly. Remember, a CLEAN scalp is a HEALTHY SCALP.

Brahmi amla oil also promotes hair growth.

A high protein diet with plenty of fruits, green vegetables and dairy products is a must.

Drink 10-12 glass of water everyday.

Use a very mild shampoo and condition your hair at least twice a week. When you do, make sure you rinse out the conditioner thoroughly, otherwise residue build-up will cause your hair to look limp and dull.

Know your vitamins! IRON is important for healthy hair and brittle, limp hair indicates an iron deficiency. Spinach has a good iron content, so gulp it down!

ZINC helps prevent hair loss and greying. Eat adequate zinc rich foods. Overweight people tend to have zinc deficiency, which is inversely related to the body mass index. Thus if you are overweight and if your hair falls too much, you may want to increase your intake of zinc containing foods. Recipes containing stone ground, wholegrain flour are rich in zinc.

A shortfall in VITAMIN B may cause dandruff, falling hair, loss of colour and could encourage grey hair. So B group Vitamins are essential for gloss, colour and thickness.

VITAMIN C ensures the health of capillaries supplying blood to hair follicles. Make sure your diet includes plenty of fresh fruits and veggies.

VITAMIN E encourages hair growth. Switch from refined flours to wholemeal and wheatgerm, eggs, vegetable oil.

COPPER stops hair from falling. Studies show that the copper content in the blood serum of people with falling hair is less than normal. Different types of alopecia (falling hair) are seen to have a deficiency of this important trace element. Include small quantities of nuts, especially cashews and peanuts, seeds, whole milk and beans in your diet as these contain minute but important amounts of copper.

Homemade remedies for preventing hair fall:

Apply almond oil on scalp and massage.

Grind fenugreek seeds in water and apply on your scalp. Wash off after 40 minutes. Do this every morning for a month 隆V if it suits you! Remember, different treatments suit different types of hair.

Massage warm castor oil + almond oil into your scalp gently. Wrap a hot towel around your scalp so it gets absorbed into the hair. Do this twice a week for healthy, shiny hair.

Add 2-3 drops of honey to a glass of water and use this as the last rinse after shampooing.

    Quick Hair Care Conditioner

Mix 1 egg, 2 tbs castor oil, 1 tsp vinegar and 1 tsp glycerine. Beat until frothy and massage lightly into your scalp. Wrap your head in a hot towel, steam, then wash off. This conditioner makes hair thicker, shiny, soft and manageable.

    Honey Conditioner

Beat 1-2 eggs (depending on the length of the hair), 1 tsp honey and 2 tsp olive oil. Massage gently into the scalp. Steam, and shampoo after an hour.

    Alcohol Conditioner

Beat 1-2 eggs with 2 tsp brandy. Massage into your scalp. Leave for 10-15 mins. Rinse well. The egg nourishes your hair and brandy stimulates hair growth.

Your hair is a vital beauty asset, requiring constant loving care. And with a little nurturing, lush, glossy hair will be yours

    ESSENTIALS FOR FALLING HAIR -

Does your hair fall often Arm yourself with these tools to combat hair fall.

    Wide-toothed comb

Get yourself a wide-toothed comb. This is probably one of the most important yet underutilized of all hair tools. A wide-toothed comb helps you distribute conditioner evenly all over your hair while shampooing and conditioning. In addition, it also helps get rid of knots smoothly.

The best time to get rid of knots is during conditioning. Apply conditioner and run a wide toothed comb gently through your hair.

While untangling dry hair, do so in sections. Take one section at a time, and first, untangle the ends of your hair. Do so slowly, and don?t pull unless you want your hair to fall out in clumps or break.

Don?t wait for the last minute before detangling your hair. Every night, while sitting in front of the television, run a wide toothed comb gently through your hair, until you have untangled it completely. Do this every night, and you will notice that your hair remains free from tangles.

    Leave-in conditioner

Dry hair tends to tangle easily, and, needless to say, causes it to break. Make sure your hair is never devoid of moisture by always keeping a bottle of leave-in conditioner handy. The next time you feel your hair is dry and rough to the touch, simply rub a dollop of leave-in conditioner between your palms, and apply it to your hair. Comb through with your wide toothed comb. Your hair will be instantly rejuvenated and moisturized. Gradually, the texture will also improve. This is a must if you blow dry your hair regularly, or if it is chemically treated. Such hair constantly craves moisture, so get yourself a bottle of leave-in conditioner.

    Oil

Olive, almond and coconut oils are all excellent for the hair. While you could apply oil as an alternative to leave-in conditioner, oil tends to make your hair sticky, and you cannot style your hair well after applying oil. Your only alternative would then be to tie up your hair. For better results with oil, apply just a few drops immediately after washing your hair, when your hair is still dripping wet. Oil doesn?t penetrate the strands as easily as leave-in conditioner does though. Nothing beats a hot oil massage followed by a steam treatment, as the steam helps the oil penetrate the hair strands, strengthening them and curtailing hair fall.

    Egg

Egg is great for the hair ? there are no two ways about it! True, it causes a tremendous stink in the bathroom, and your hair may let off an ?eggy? smell, but the results are instantaneous and worth it! Egg strengthens your hair almost immediately, and the egg yolk leaves your hair shining. Whip an egg with two tablespoons of olive oil and apply it to your hair. Wash off after half an hour. Make sure you wash off with cold water though, or the egg will start cooking in your hair, and would be harder to take off! Use a scented shampoo to counter the smell of egg in your hair, and follow up with a leave-in conditioner. Do this for a month, and you will be amazed by the change in your hair texture and the reduction in hair fall.

What can I eat to prevent premature greying?

Eating seafood is possibly one of the best things you can eat to promote all-over hair health. It is rich in zinc, iodine and protein, which are excellent for the hair. So if you enjoy seafood, make it a point to have fish several times a week. Remember that eating canned fish will not give you the same benefits as eating freshly cooked fish. If you don?t eat fish, consider fish-oil supplements.

Iron is good for hair and is found in dark green vegetables, meat and some pulses. If you are unsure about whether you are getting enough iron, include an iron supplement every once in a while in your diet. Remember that too many iron supplements can be bad for you. Women lose iron while menstruating, so perhaps during or after your cycle you can have iron-fortified supplements for a few days.

Eating foods rich in Vitamins B and C will ensure that your hair stays strong, does not break easily, and does not grey early. Pork, vegetables, whole grains, wheat germ, soymilk are all rich sources of Vitamin B, while citrus fruits are excellent sources of Vitamin C. Eating adequate Vitamin C helps increase absorption of iron. Try and have a glass of orange juice daily.

Your hair will never be healthy if you do not drink enough water. Drink at least eight to ten glasses a day.

What oil can I apply to my hair?

Rosemary oil is believed to gradually darken grey hair over a period of time. Soak rosemary leaves along with a few basil (tulsi) leaves, in jojoba oil, for a period of four weeks. Massage your scalp and hair with this oil (after warming it up).

Most oils are not easily absorbed by the hair, which is why you need to leave oil on for at least forty-five minutes. It helps greatly if you steam your hair after applying oil.

Boil dried amla pieces in coconut oil until the pieces turn black and the oil darkens. Apply this oil to the hair. It strengthens hair and prevents greying.

Boil tealeaves in water and rinse your hair with this liquid 20-30 times. Then, leave on for 15-20 minutes before the final rinse.

What else can I do to promote hair health and delay greying?

Washing your hair with very hot water or using hair-dryers excessively weaken roots, and may lead to premature greying. When using a hair-dryer, take care not to point it to your scalp. Similarly, try and wash your hair with cool or lukewarm water.

    Will Yoga help?

Inverted yoga poses bring a rush of blood to the scalp. This stimulates circulation and enhances hair health. Do the following poses regularly:

Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward Facing Dog)

    Sarvangasana

    Chakrasana

Other easy ways to stimulate circulation are:

When you wash your hair, keep switching from hot water to cold water.

Comb your hair regularly. A hundred strokes every night should do the trick. If your hair is curly, use a wide toothed comb
Are you talking about male pattern baldness? There is no cure for that; it is a normal, genetically passed condition, given from maternal grandfather to grandson through the X chromosome.
    Stop worrying and start living.
Amir you should wash your hair thrice in a week, do oil massage on your head before 1 hr of washing, Use some milled shampoo and Comb your hair after they get dry. drink lots of water near about 2-3 litters daily. Add more protein in your food and do not touch your hair with dirty hands. Pack your hair whenever you go out on Bike. Surely you will get rid of the problem of falling hair.

Any cures for hair loss yet?

Im running out of time!Any cures for hair loss yet?
This answer is ONLY for hair loss that's NOT genetic. Get a book (found at any GOOD health food store, book store etc. etc.) called ';Prescriptive Healing From A-Z';. Ailments are listed in alphabetical order, so look under ';Hair Loss';. It will tell you what vitamins you need to take.

Here's a TRUE story. My own husband was losing his hair. We don't know why. .. .but it wasn't genetic. I started him on vitamins and within 6 months HIS HAIR STARTED GROWING BACK !!!! Even people where he works started noticing it !!! DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF VITAMINS !!!! They WILL seriously help you !

HERE'S TO A FULL HEAD OF HAIR !!!!Any cures for hair loss yet?
Topical minoxidil and oral finnesteride both work and give useful hair growth in a percentage of users. Most however eventually give up, either because they are unhappy with the result, or with the ongoing cost. Both preparations have to be continued indefinitely or the situation quickly reverses.

Food rich in vitamin A, B, C, E, K, magnesium and zinc are important for healthy hair and also prevents hair loss. Hair is made up mostly of protein so a protein rich food is also recommended. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.
Transplant. Not just any transplant either. There is this clinic in Vegas called Bosley and he is pretty good at it. Your head won't look like a Dolls head when he's finished and he has financial plans to fit almost any budget.
There is no known cure for hair loss, but hair loss can be due to a number of reasons, such as illness, stress or male pattern baldness. You could always cover it up with a wig!
If there was any genuine cure or even really effective treatment, don't you think we'd all know about it by now?
If there were I'd be first in the queue!

But the truth is even if can't change our hair we can certainly change the way we think about it!

Green tea helps slow hair loss, but it won't re grow what you have lost.GOD-bless

Is there any cure for hair loss except minoxidal??

I think while those hair loss products may help to slow down the unfortunate process, I think once the hair loss begins, it's inevitable.

I notice since I have been getting older, that my hair is thinning, and it really bothers me.

All I can suggest is to use good shampoos and conditioner products and alternate the products from time to time. Some hair products can build up residue in your hair. Try not to wash your hair every day, so the oils in your scalp have a chance to be distributed throughout your hair.

Keep it trimmed. And avoid wearing hats a lot, cause your scalp needs to breathe.

Good luck to you. Hair isn't everything, but being a good person is important. Is there any cure for hair loss except minoxidal??
No there is no cure:there is only a drug that helps temporarily.

IF YOU STOP TAKING IT,THE HAIRLOSS IS BACK.

    SKY

Go see the doctor for a prescription.

SkyIs there any cure for hair loss except minoxidal??
There is no cure for hair loss however there is a product in the market called Propecia, it's the only FDA approved product proven to stop hair loss and regrow hair but as soon as you stop taking it you'll start to lose your hair again. By the way, you'll need a doctor to prescribe it.

There is NO CURE, if you don't want to take medicine to prevent it then you are only left with the option of a hair transplant.

hair loss can be caused by many different reasons!

    1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

    2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

    3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

    4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

    5) also you should use some herbal treatment.in that case Provillus is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!

It worked and still works for me!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry Provillus but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.provillus.com/?aid=749165

    good luck!

The best way to look after your hair and keep it is by eating properly. Eating a good diet with plenty of vitamins and proteins will help keep your hair healthy.

taking natural hair supplements will help you as well. these ensure you get all the vitamins and protein you need for your hair.

Use a good shampoo that does not lather a lot and does not hurt your eyes. Anything like this indicates the shampoo has too many chermicals in it.
My dad has had hairless, he's taken different hairloss products and some seemed to work but not very well. We just recently ran into this product www.truehealthbeauty.com and it's working pretty good. It's all natural, and it also lists the ingredients so you'll know what's in it before you buy it. It's also 2 months free, I guess that's how sure they are that your hair will grow back.

    have fun :)

    Just For Men
Im sure you already know that the answer is no short of hair implants and they look terrible unless u can afford to pay millions like the stars do. I have been ordering mine online thru http://www.rxmex.net for the last two years and have had GREAT results. I didnt tell my friends cause i wanted to see if they noticed, and they did. I am 43 years old and started when i was 40. PROPECIA lowers DHT. Lowering DHT inhibits the further miniaturization of affected hair follicles and helps restore miniaturized hair follicles to regrow visible hair. We produce the DHT more as we age. Short of blocking it, there is no cure for hair loss. It is a lifetime process so get it as cheap as you can.
